Been a rough couple of days…………The Missus suffered a severe arm fracture in three places yesterday here at Nellis AFB. Red Flag line shack for the 416 FLTS while paying a visit. We were gonna put her in one of our Suburbans to watch from as close as possible. The launch is usually 50-60 aircraft including F-16s, F-15s, A-10s, E-3s, C-135s and the occasional C-130, H-60 and such………..
Ambulance ride to the hospital………five hours in ER and Radiology…………….pain killers for her………
Today was the initial with the ortho surgeon………nice guy, AF Major………..he has a really good SSGT working with him………….did a new splint that is much more comfortable than the first……………………
Better pain killers today as well………………
Tomorrow is all the preop stuff…………..going to have to bolt it back together………….sometime on Thursday………………….
Got that Armed Forces Retiree thing working for us………………….we will be out…………nothing…………
Damn, sometimes I am so glad I stayed for twenty years.
Sorry to hear about her injury, and glad you’ve got the ‘right’ folks working on her! And yeah, it ‘does’ pay off on occasion!
Doing well except for the itching! We are still trying to find an ortho specialist close by. Think we may have found one in Ridgecrest.
