…………..Hawker Beechcraft CEO Bill Boisture and U.S. Rep. Mike Pompeo had one message this morning at a press conference inside a company hangar in east Wichita.
They want the Air Force to explain why it excluded the company’s bid for a light air support contract worth up to nearly $1 billion.
“We want to know,” Boisture said………….
So do a lot of folks. I have no issue with Sierra Nevada and Embraer winning as long it is on the merits and technical aspect of the respective air frames. I personally think the Super Tucano is a better aircraft for the mission. I have read the specs and performance figures. But that is just me.
The ultimate test is this……………..is the aircraft going to be able to kill when called upon? That is what everything boils down to.
