The Tehachapi had a nice amount of snow on the East Slope. I had the Nikon and at the turn off from CA 58 to California City Boulevard is a bare lot. I actually stood in the bed of The Titan to get these.
It was slowly warming up from a low of 21 degrees at Edwards AFB…..The sky looks great on mornings like this.
I have been riding my bike for almost two months at least three times a week, since Doc was on the regular exercise thing along with a new Blood Pressure Medication. Today I decided to do the scenic route of sorts.
The ride was about 8 miles total out a ways on Randsburg-Mojave Road to the Desert Tortoise Area turnoff. Good with some up and down terrain in it. BP after the ride, shower and building my lunch for work was 114/66. I take the meds when I get up so it has time to work.
On occasion this time of year we get these big Thunder Bumpers. It makes me think of Kansas. Yeah, I miss The Sunflower State.
This storm looked like it had a lot of rain but out here, most of the rain does not reach the ground. It is the powerful wind pushing the sand and dirt. Visibility on the roads suffers because of the blowing sand.
This big puppy was to the East over North Edwards, Boron, Kramer Junction and Barstow at least.
