I left my truck registration and insurance card at the DMV on Friday…
It was off to retrieve it today.
Mrs. ORPO bought a Kuerig 2.0 sometime back and I was introduced to using one on our last trip to the Central Coast. The billeting at Camp San Luis Obispo has replaced the traditional drip coffee makers with Kuerigs. I admit that they make a “damn fine cup of coffee.” OK, I love that line from the TV show, “Twin Peaks.”
It was a small show. I was impressed by the way it was run though. The Blue Angels were there for their first show on the road. I have seen them so many times that I spend my time wandering through the static displays.
The Brits and Dutch had their Test F-35s under the canopies on the line.
BTW, I have disabled person plates on my vehicles and I parked about six spaces from the entry control point for ADA and VIP folks.
Eyes of a Stranger………………sometimes when I look in the mirror, I don’t know the man looking back at me……………………
During the height of the Roman Empire, Germanicus was universally recognized by soldiers, citizens and politicians alike to be the single most ferocious, merciless yet honorable warrior ever to be produced by Rome. Despite being born into the elite, Germanicus spent most of his life knee-deep in dead enemies on the battlefield, writing poetry about astrology and most notably – extracting brutal revenge on Germans.
You see, after hearing about the Romans suffering a humiliating defeat at the hands of the German Tribal Chief Arminius, Germanicus spent several years seething in quiet rage and plotting retribution. He had three goals in mind – First, to find the site where they suffered defeat and bury the bodies of fallen Romans. Second, to recover the captured Eagles the Germanic Tribes took and bring them back to Rome. Lastly, to turn into a limb-severing machine and take the lives of as many enemies as possible. He succeeded in prolific fashion in all endeavors and returned home a paragon of loyalty, the ultimate symbol of an honorable warrior, and the one guy you shouldn’t piss off.
I have heard of Germanicus the most………………………
I like Queensryche……………………
Hush now don’t cry
Wipe away the teardrop from your eye
You’re lying safe in bed
It was all a bad dream
Spinning in your head
Your mind tricked you to feel the pain
Of someone close to you leaving the game of life
So here it is, another chance
Wide awake you face the day
Your dream is over
Or has it just begun?

Astronauts aboard the International Space Station took this space photograph of Paris, which is often referred to as the “City of Light.” The photo was taken around local midnight time on April 8, 2016 and the glow of the bright lights against the dark night sky illuminates the intricate web of streets that weave through the city. http://goo.gl/f5YaCw
